Well, I am no Bill Gates. But I love reading and I am always on the hunt for a good book. So here are my favorite books of 2020.
Well, I am no Bill Gates. But I love reading and often find myself spending a ton of time to figure out what I am going to be reading next. Of course, I ask my friends, check out Bill Gates’s reading list on Goodreads, and follow my local library over on Twitter to add wonderful books to my reading list (in pre-covid times, I was visiting the library pretty much every weekend, but now we live in a different world and I am glad that they actively use social media so that we can still benefit from their expertise). As I am always on the hunt for a good book, I figured why not share my favorite books of 2020 over on my blog.
Keep that in mind that some of these books didn’t come out in 2020, I just read them in 2020.
Although it is mostly based on anecdotal evidence and qualitative research, I found it very thought provoking. I particularly liked the part about empathy. It’s definitely a must-read. More info here.
We all probably think that we know what Capitalism is. Maybe you do, but apparently, I didn’t. Milanovic talks about the types of capitalism in this book and very brilliantly ties it to income inequality. Not everyone’s cup of tea, but if you’re into economics, don’t even think for a second to add this to your reading list. More info here.
This book is full of practical tips and the best of its kind. It’s a fun read. Luckily, you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to think like one. More info here.
This book is one of Bill Gates’s favorites. When I first started reading it, I got so anxious about the quality of my sleep, and then..I couldn’t sleep. So..be careful. More info here.
I usually don’t like self-development books unless they are backed up by scientific evidence. Give this book a shot even if you’re only slightly interested in it. You won’t regret. More info here.
Here is the full list of books I read in 2020.
Don’t forget to share your favorite books below!
